Krystal Marie Ball

 Krystal Marie Balm (born on the 24th of November the 24th of November, 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a candidate for the US Senate and a TV presenter at MSNBC. She was frequently a contributor to The Huffington Post and co-host of The Hill's Rising together with Saagar Enti. In the month of May, 2021 Ball and Enjeti announced that they were leaving the show to start their own project called Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball co-hosts the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends with Kyle Kulinski. She has appeared as a guest on networks like CNN, CNBC, Fox News and shows like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball has been married to Jonathan Dariyanani since 2020. Ball is able to attribute her new political interest due to the fact that she became an expectant mother in the 2008 primaries and also watching the results of the 2008 US presidential election while working in Jordan. She observed how it affected people in that country and thereby gained an appreciation for the global implications of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow at the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party candidate for Congress in Virginia's 1st district. She lost to Rob Wittman in 2010. She was the host of The Cycle, a MSNBC TV show that she hosted from June 2012 until August 2015. She created the People's House Project (a political action committee that supports Democratic causes) in May 2017.
