Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn, born 19th August 1965, is an American actress. Her most well-known work is her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The show ended on the 13th, 2012 following the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was Speech and Family Therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has identified herself as Jewish and has said she attends Passover seders.
